Use the four reference geometries to label comparable supplier quotations. The rows are illustrative sourcing configurations and have no fixed bill of materials, performance rating or shipment count.
The bars show illustrative comparison positions. Use the table to select a starting geometry, then ask suppliers to quantify piece count and bundle dimensions against the project drawings.
| Model | Clear span | Typical eave | Bay | Main steel | 40HQ note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PEB-18 | 18 m | 6 m | 6 m | Bolted, grade to confirm | Verify bundle volume and usable payload |
| PEB-24 | 24 m | 7 m | 7.5 m | Bolted, grade to confirm | Request bundle count and container split |
| PEB-30 | 30 m | 8 m | 7.5 m | Grade per project basis | Check whether rafter length or bundle weight limits each load |
| PEB-36 | 36 m | 8 m | 7.5 m | Grade per project basis | End-plate bundles and brace rods listed as separate marks |
Request end-plate and purlin details alongside the drawing register. A change in cladding, door framing or bay length can affect connection design even where the clear span remains constant.
Check the grade on the proposed mill certificate and the weld procedure scope against the quotation. Ask for coating records indexed to the relevant pieces and identify what the inspection provider will sample.
Compare bolted knock-down and welded ship-loose offers using the longest piece and total shipment volume. Confirm who carries site assembly, connection checking and repair of transit damage.
Select worksheets by subject so every supplier sees the same draft basis. Record the date received and ask the supplier to mark assumptions or departures in its reply.
Use the geometry sheet for span, eave, bay spacing and openings. Leave load fields open until a qualified project representative supplies the applicable values.
Ask for a proposed loading plan listing bundle dimensions, weights, lifting provisions and container distribution. Confirm openings and payload limits with the nominated carrier.
Compare panel core, thickness, density and whole-wall evidence as separate fields. Keep doors, joints and penetrations in scope when the project calls for a tested fire assembly.
Confirm the clear internal envelope before deciding whether a reference row will work. A crane hook or tall door may change the frame geometry.
Request finish and repair procedures for the site exposure. Separate main frame paint, galvanized secondary members and fastener protection in the comparison matrix.
If a supplier proposes a fit-up witness, ask for the pieces, dimensions and acceptance tolerance in advance. Confirm whether an independent inspector can attend.
Once the geometry is accepted for quotation, request a shipment plan and name the delivery port. Hold provisional freight quantities apart from confirmed packing data.
Specify a custom row when the project differs from these dimensions. Ask bidders to price any revised supports, connection details and transport constraints using the same drawing issue.
Send a reference span, eave height, location and port to request comparable quotations. We can coordinate supplier responses and identify design or logistics questions that remain open.
